Publication Ethics

RISET: Jurnal Aplikasi Ekonomi Akuntansi dan Bisnis (e-ISSN: 2656-7113, p-ISSN: 2797-4057)  is an independent scientific media for Lecturers and Researchers in the fields of Economics, Accounting, and Business, managed and published by IBI Kesatuan Bogor and published twice in cycles in March and September. This journal publishes applied research/applications in economics, accounting, and business in a broad sense. This statement describes the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the process of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the editor in chief, the Editorial Board, reviewers, and publishers.

For Authors :
1. Ensure that all authors are included. The authors listed should be those who have made significant contributions to the concepts, ideas, implementations, or interpretations of the reported study.
2. Authors are collectively responsible for the overall content of the article. This includes ensuring that the underlying data for the research are presented accurately, that there is no research fraud of any kind, that the analysis and discussion are conducted objectively based on the available data and its processing results, and that accurate and objective professional opinions are used.
3. Articles submitted for publication must be original works that have not been published elsewhere in any language and are not currently under consideration for submission to other journals or publishers.
4. Ensure that the submitted article is entirely original. If using work or opinions from other professionals, authors must appropriately cite the original source. Plagiarism or falsification of references in any form is unacceptable.
5. Any works or opinions cited in the analysis and discussion must be fully included in the “References”. Personal or individual data and information cannot be used or reported without the express permission of the relevant party.
6. Any works or opinions cited in the analysis and discussion must have been published no more than 10 years prior to the publication of the current article. They must be cited from primary sources rather than secondary sources. For example:
a. Incorrect: “According to Suparman (2015) in Tarjo (2024)”
b. Correct: “According to Suparman (2015)”
7. Authors are required to disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest related to their research.
8. Authors are required to disclose any use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in a dedicated generative AI Statement within the manuscript.
9. Authors are required to address all comments and revise the manuscript in accordance with the recommendations provided by the Editor and peer reviewers.
10. If any errors or inaccuracies are discovered in the published manuscript, the author is required to promptly notify the Editor or Publisher and cooperate in the correction or retraction of the published article, as appropriate.

For Editorial Team:
1. Responsible for making the final decision on whether a manuscript is accepted for publication, taking into consideration its overall scholarly quality, research novelty, potential implications, and the recommendations provided by the assigned peer reviewers.
2. The team is committed to maintaining and enhancing the quality of the journal by consistently implementing robust editorial and quality assurance processes.
3. An impartial and objective evaluation of manuscripts should be conducted solely based on their scholarly merit, regardless of the authors' race, ethnicity, religion, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or any other personal attributes.
4. Provide input on revisions, rejections, retractions, clarifications, and apologies as necessary throughout the manuscript review process until publication.
5. Collaborate with peer reviewers and the editorial team in reviewing manuscripts prior to publication and assist in submitting revised manuscripts to the review team until the article is deemed suitable for publication.
6. Maintain the integrity of the authors' academic track record and support initiatives to reduce research and publication misconduct by requiring authors to include a statement from the author that the article is original and unpublished.
7. Maintain the confidentiality of information related to the submitted manuscripts, except for the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, the editorial team, and the publisher.
8. Ideas, materials, or information obtained by the editorial team from unpublished manuscripts may not be used for personal gain or for the benefit of others without the consent of the author.
9. Editors who have any conflict of interest with the author or potential reviewers will not be included in the manuscript review process.
10. Editorial decisions must be based on objective human judgment. The use of Generative AI is limited to supporting tools for correcting grammatical errors and supporting considerations for the editorial team in detecting any form of fraud in manuscripts, not to replace the editor's role in evaluating or making editorial decisions.

For Reviewers/Peer Reviewers:
1. Assist the editorial team in reviewing manuscripts submitted by the editor and submit the review results for consideration in determining the suitability of the manuscript/paper for publication.
2. Provide scientific input to the editorial team to enhance the quality of manuscripts that have passed the initial review, in accordance with the RISET journal standards, such as research analysis and discussion, research data processing results, research impact, and other aspects beyond the format and percentage of the manuscript.
3. Maintain the confidentiality of information related to the submitted manuscripts, except for the corresponding author, reviewers, the editorial team, and the publisher.
4. Ideas, materials, or information obtained by the reviewers from unpublished manuscripts may not be used for personal gain or for the benefit of others without the consent of the author.
5. An impartial and objective evaluation of manuscripts should be conducted solely based on their scholarly merit, regardless of the authors' race, ethnicity, religion, gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or any other personal attributes.
6. Review is conducted confidentially, with reviewers/peer reviewers and authors anonymous, in accordance with the scope of publication based on scientific principles.
7. Prospective reviewers who have any form of conflict of interest with the author(s) will inform the Editor that they could not be included in the review process.
8. Reviewers should not upload the manuscripts or any part of them into any AI tools, as submitted manuscripts are confidential.
9. Reviewers are fully responsible for the content of their review reports and are not permitted to use AI to evaluate manuscripts for review. The use of Generative AI is limited to supporting grammatical input in submitting review reports and is not intended to replace the role of reviewers/peers in evaluating manuscripts.
