PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Peer review plays a critical role in maintaining the academic integrity and quality of articles by providing constructive evaluation and feedback to authors and editors.
Manuscripts submitted online to RISET: Jurnal Aplikasi Ekonomi, Akuntansi dan Bisnis undergo an initial editorial review to assess their conformity with the journal's aims and scope, in-house style, and similarity index. Manuscripts that successfully pass this initial evaluation proceed to a double-blind peer review process.
The editorial team will select at least two expert reviewers who possess relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. Reviewers will be invited by email and provided with a brief summary of the manuscript's title and content. Upon agreeing to review, the reviewer will be given full access to the manuscript and related materials through the online submission system.
During the review process, typically a minimum of two weeks, reviewers are expected to provide constructive and objective comments on the manuscript's originality, significance, clarity, and methodological robustness. Reviewers should identify relevant previously published works that the authors may have failed to cite and highlight any substantial similarity or overlap with previously published material of which the reviewer is aware.
Once the reviews are submitted, the editor will make a decision — whether to accept, reject, or return the manuscript for revision — based on the reviewer reports and editorial judgment. The final decision will be promptly communicated to the authors.

TIMELINESS

Any reviewer who considers themselves unqualified to review a manuscript or believes they will be unable to submit their review promptly should notify the editor immediately and withdraw from the process.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not show or discuss the manuscript with any other person except with the editor's authorization.

STANDARDS OF OBJECTIVITY

Reviews should be conducted objectively and impartially. Criticism should be constructive and respectful; attacks on the author's person are inappropriate. Reviewers should state their view clearly and provide adequate arguments or support for their judgments.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF SOURCES

Reviewers should identify relevant previously published works that the authors have failed to cite. Any observation, derivation, or claim previously reported in the literature should be properly referenced. Reviewers should notify the editor if there is substantial overlap or similarity with another publication of which they are aware.

DISCLOSURE AND CONFLICTS OF INTEREST

Privileged information or ideas that come to light during the peer review process must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should decline to review a manuscript if they have a conflict of interest — whether financial, collaborative, or competitive — in relation to the authors, companies, or institutions involved in the submission.
